Chicago: NO COLON after Publisher Zotero 2.1.1

Yikes! No colon follows the publisher in CMS Styles (I tried several). Instead, I'm getting a comma. Zotero 2.1.1, Openoffice 3.2.1, Zotero Ooo Extension 3.5a1, Firefox 4. Mark
  • I'll have a look.
  • I don't have a plugin installed, but it works for me with quick copy and with the test panel. Could you try this here?

  • Adam, thanks for looking at this. Sorry for the delay. I just loaded Ooo 3.3.0, because I was having hanging issues (with Firefox/Zotero/Ooo). Was not trying to avoid testing your fix, but colons are now correct. Perhaps the older Ooo was culprit. Don't know. Thanks again, Mark

Oops. We're back on this again. I discovered the issue.

If I enter "place" of publication as:
Grand Rapids, Mich. [abbrev + period]
Then I get no colon separating the place and publisher.

If I omit the period after the state abbreviation, then all is well.

Installation of the branch.xpi has no effect. Should I reinstall the main? How?

    Thx, Mark
  • This is probably due to an over-aggressive condition for suppressing duplicate punctuation. I'll take a at it look tomorrow.
  • ... and indeed it was. I've applied a fix and will make a fresh processor release. When it comes through in the next release of Zotero 2.1, this should clear up for you.
  • Thanks! Mark
