Pull Search Engines from Firefox 4 into Zotero 2.1.1?
I can't seem to get the search engines in my Firefox 4 Manage Search Engines List to show up in the Zotero 2.1.1 Manage Search Engines List. Thx, Mark

I tried:
1) Go to http://pubget.com/
2) Click on the search engine icon in Firefox and select "Add Pubget Search"
3) Click on the locate menu in Zotero and select Manage Lookup Engines
4) Nothing about Pubget shows in the menu
This might be multilingual-specific, but if it isn't working, the folks at Pubget who coded the extensible lookup feature might be a little disappointed.
I was puzzled over how to add engines as well, but I think I've sussed out the steps. (1) Visit the top of the PubGet site; (2) In Firefox, click on the icon next to the search box, and select "Manage Search Engines"; (3) Add PubGet; (4) In Zotero, open the locate menu; (5) Select "Manage Locate Engines"; (6) PubGet doesn't show up initially, but clicking on "Restore Defaults" brings it up in the list; (7) Double-clicking the PubGet entry adds the engine to the list of menu options.
Are there more available search engines than Library, CrossRef, Google Scholar, and Pubget? Where can I find them?
Thanks,
Sam
Unfortunately, it looks like there hasn't been much up-take on this feature, even though it would be useful for many article databases. Perhaps Mendeley could be convinced to add support for it.
Can someone please add some pictures or a tutorial on how exactly to get Zotero to have EBSCO as one of its search engines?
Thanks.
As discussed above, very view sites offer opensearch compatibility, EBSCO not among them, so you can't have EBSCO as one of Zotero's search Engines.
