Automatic updates today for Mac Firefox plugins and MacWord plugins and old word files don't work

Automatic Zotero updates today for MacFirefox plugins and MacWord plugins and old Word files don't work anymore with Firefox Zotero. Could anyone comment or help? I'm in the last phases of my thesis and should solve this problem really quickly, 100 pages and hundreds of citations are undefined.

I've never before faced any problems and now it happened via automatic updates?!?
  • Can you be more specific about what isn't working? If you're getting an error message, we'll need a report ID.
  • I am having a similar problem and am similarly concerned because I also stand to loose hundreds of citations for my thesis. I installed the automatic updates when prompted, and afterwards I am able to add one footnote successfully to my Word document, but then if I try to add a second footnote, Zotero freezes and causes Firefox not to respond. When I am not using Word, I am unable to sync Zotero with the database and receive a message (with a red question mark on my Zotero bar) that "conflicts have prevented automatic syncing." If I do as directed and prompt Zotero to sync, it suggests a merge and promptly freezes.

I have tried restarting my computer, and uninstalling and reinstalling the Zotero MacWord connection and the PythonExt applications, and the problem has not rectified itself. I am in desperate need of a solution-- my thesis is due next week.

  • A second report ID I just generated:

  • kcwade, this will probably be fixed in the next release, due out in a few days, but for now you can upgrade to Firefox 4 or set javascript.options.tracejit.chrome to false in about:config (although the latter option might make things much slower).
  • Thank you-- I updated to Firefox 4 and I can now cite in my Word document without a problem. I appreciate your prompt response.
  • Upgraded to firefox 4 now this. " Zotero MacWord Integration is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 when run under Firefox 4....

How do I downgrade to 3.6x? Or is there a free way to upgrade my MAC
