How to edit the citation in the word document that will be updated

I want to add a citation that appears in the word document. When I add the citation through Zotero, the result in the text is (Writer, 2002), what I want to have is Writer (2002). I can do this through the editor, but it says that if I edit something through the editor later on when I will make an update of the citations, this citation will not be updated. Is there a way to make this change in the citation output, but when the document is updated or style changed also the citation to be updated.

    Type the author name in the document by hand and then add a citation, but check the "suppress author" box to get only the year in parentheses.
