Online library and Zotero Everywhere - what's the future?

Hi, this is just a question regarding the online library and its future. I know there are other threads about various aspects of this, but none seemed comprehensive enough. In this post, I'm just hoping someone who knows could comment on the future status of web-based access to one's online library and what the future holds. Will it become possible to search online libraries? Will it be possible to filter using tags? etc.

Last year there was an announcement of Zotero Everywhere, which seemed to hold out the promise of being able to access one's library from everywhere. So far, that has resulted in the development of standalone zotero. Will it also involve improving web-based access?
