Word could not communicate with Zotero -- 1016389261

I have tried to install Zotero and seem to have problems with the Word/OO integration --
In both cases FF is open, the add-ins have been installed and activated (several times), but
* Word 2000 WinXP can't communicate with Firefox 3.6.

<* OO (extension 3.5a1) does not show a tool bar or any menu item.>
Problem seems to be solved by restarting OO

I work with programs set to German user language.

As I am new to these programs, I still have Endnote installed but gather from other discussions that it should be possible to have both programs installed parallel.

    I suppose you refer to this sentence:

    The solution is to remove the -no-remote command-line option from the shortcut used to launch the Firefox profile on which Zotero is installed. As long as all other profiles use the -no-remote option, you should be able to open them and the Zotero profile simultaneously.

    As I am not a computer expert, would you mind to let me know how to change the -no-remote option for Zotero?

    And I am not using ZoneAlarm.
