2.1 RC 2. Macword integration plugin won't install

I have tried to get zotero to work with macword 2011 for a few days now, but without any success.

I installed the 2.1 RC 2 and macword integration plugin 3.1b2, but each time I start firefox (3.6.15), the plugin says:

The Zotero MacWord Integration installation succeeded, but a necessary component does not appear to be loaded properly.
Zotero can attempt to correct this for you. A Firefox restart will be required. Continue?

and of course, continuing does not solve the problem.
I have also installed pythonext 2.6.2XX as advised in the documentation.

As a result, nothing appears in Word 2011 (even under the script menu). I am using a French version of word, but Haven't been able to locate any scripts from Zotero anywhere on my Mac.
  • Can you provide a report ID?

I can only have this report ID (760519155), but it seems related to the zotfile plugin, rather than the problem I have here...

EDIT: I just disabled zotfile and restarted Firefox again. I got this error report (1127955796) that seems related to Pythonext.
  • Apparently PythonExt doesn't like the accented character in your profile name. If you create a new profile with no accented characters in its name and copy the contents of your old profile directory to the new profile directory, it should work. See these instructions on backing up and restoring profiles for further reference.
  • Excellent !!! The accented character was indeed the source of the problem. Simply changing the profile name as instructed did the trick, it now works like a charm.

    Many thanks !!
