need help modifying AGU style

Hi all,

I just bumped in a small problem with the AGU style.

it writes bibliography such as:

Anastasio, C., and T. Robles (2007), Light absorption by soluble chemical species in Arctic and Antarctic snow, Journal of Geophysical Research, 112, 14 PP., doi:200710.1029/2007JD008695.

with the journal name in full, where it should be its abbreviated form.

I changed that so that now it verifies the journal standards.

how should I go to have my modification broadcasted ?

thanks for your help

dda
  • Zotero prints whatever is in the journal abbr. field - the agu style already does that - what did you change?

line 225 of the agu.csl file present in my zotero/styles folder,

    I changed :
    text variable="container-title" font-style="italic"

    to:
    text variable="container-title" form="short" font-style="italic"

    and that did the trick.

with the old line, obviously, it printed what's in the journal "publication" field (sorry, my zotero is in french...), and with the new line it uses what I need it to use, i.e. the abbr. field
  • you must have had an outdated copy of the style then. That's already in the agu.csl that's currently on the repository (Zotero styles don't auto update). Thanks for reporting, nonetheless.
