Localization of User Interface to Bahasa Indonesia.

I'm inquiring if its possible to localize the user interface of Zotero into Bahasa Indonesia?
If so, what specific information & efforts are needed for this to occur? Translations et la?
Who is responsible for arranging updates and or modifications to Zotero's user interface?

    To simplify the task, I can send along an Excel file that contains all of the texts used in Zotero. I can't speak for the team, but if you or another user with a stake in support for Bahasa Indonesia can provide the translations, I would think that it would be a welcome addition to the stable of Zotero user interfaces.     I can't speak for the team either, but there's really no question that the team is interested in having as many quality localizations of the software as possible. Yet another advantage of Zotero over certain unnamed competitors.

    Competition? There isn't a competing software product in this category which has been localized to Bahasa Indonesia, according to Astrida. I was shocked to say the least.

    After the initial translations are completed, who or where should I send them to?

    You can post the completed translations to any file sharing site and post a link here, or you could send them to Frank (fbennett), me (email in Zotero profile), or any of a number of community and full-time contributors. The developer/localizer communities are pretty small, so you just need to get them to someone, and we'll make sure they get into a Zotero release.

    Using Frank's Excel files is fine, but you can also just grab the English files, edit them in a decent text editor (e.g., jEdit, TextWrangler—anything with proper Unicode support), and post the translated versions somewhere when you're done (or e-mail them to support@zot....org with a link to this thread).

    I was just looking at other possibilities to translate Zotero, and I came across Narro (http://code.google.com/p/narro/) and the Translate Toolkit (http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/index). The former is an online translation platform for .dtd and .properties files, while the latter allows these files to be interconverted to .po files (so you can use any .po file editor, see http://translationproject.org/html/software.html).

    Perhaps more interestingly, it seems that Launchpad supports translation of XPI files out of the box:

    Is this something worth investigating, or do you guys/gals have anything else planned (I think Sean mentioned Scripto once)?
