Chrome/ Web App support

It would be nice to have better Chrome support. The Zotero Standalone solution is nice if you can install software, but not much help if you can't. The more functionality you can put into Zotero as a Web app, the better.
  • With full read/write access to bibliographic data, attached files like PDFs, and the citation formatting engine, developers will be able to integrate a full range of Zotero features into their own web, mobile, and desktop applications, and users will be able to take advantage of this functionality at zotero.org.

  • Is there a problem with Chrome Version 48.0.2564.116 (64-bit)? No icon appears for citations that I want to import from a web page.
  • jtcathey: I had the same problem, but after update of Chrome and reinstall of Zotero Connector is it OK again.
  • It's the bookmarklet that I need I think. Now I have a Z icon in the toolbar rather than the book icon, which I used to have, which appeared in the URL space. The Z icon only goes to zotero.org. When I try to install the bookmarklet from here (https://www.zotero.org/downloadbookmarklet) I get: (Saving Failed…
No items could be saved because this website is not supported by any Zotero translator. If Zotero Standalone is not open, try opening it to increase the number of supported sites.). It worked fine yesterday. I'm using Chrome on a Mac OS 10.11.3.

No, you don't need or want the bookmarklet if you use Chrome. There's been a change in Chrome that moved where the button is. You can still use it to save on supported sites, and we'll be updating it to work on all pages soon. See https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/57240/new-save-button-in-chrome/ for details.

(Closing this thread, since the other one is the relevant one.)
