Doesnt work in Chrome or FireFox

I installed all of the new beta versions of everything and nothing works in chrome or firefox. Giving up until more updates come out :(

    If you're interested in troubleshooting this, you'll have to be more specific. I can say with confidence that in general the Standalone is working fine for a good many people. What have you done, what has happened, etc.?

    ya sorry, my comment was not very helpful but i have learned that if i follow the instruction given for any software and it doesn't work right away then i am done with it until and updated version comes out.

    i installed everything as instructed and the zotero icon NEVER shows up in the chrome or firefox address bar.

    i go back to the original firefox add on it it works perfectly.

    so again, very sorry i am not going to waste my time troubleshooting this. i would like to use it in chrome however so i will check again when it gets out of beta.

    and i am on mac osx 10.6.6.

    that's unfortunately not how things work. What you describe is not known as an issue - the installation works fine for everyone else we know of - so unless you're willing to help troubleshoot this, it won't get fixed, not in future betas nor in the final version. There's nothing magic about the final version.

    Dan, your significant other is clearly depriving you. I posted to let Zotero know there is an issue since there is no support.
