Error -8? Sync to WebDAV

I just installed Zotero on a friend's PC (Windows XP). Everything works except Sync to WebDAV. When we click on "Verify Server" in Sync Preferences, a window with "-8" pops up. When you click on the sync green arrow in the main window it says the username hasn’t been entered, but it has.

Any suggestions?

    It's a problem with your WebDAV server, which is returning a 400 error for one of the requests Zotero makes.

    Zotero works with properly configured WebDAV servers. Fix the WebDAV server/settings and it will work.
