Zotero won't work in OpenOffice 3.0 on Ubuntu
I just got Openoffice 3.0 on my Ubuntu (10.04)...
I was using zotero previously on Openoffice 3.2; but now Zotero won't integrate with the new program. The toolbar is not visible and I don't even begin to know how to solve this problem.
I looked at the troubleshooting section and several threads but feel extremely confused! Someone please tell me where to start?

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
In case anyone has similar issues I post a solution here:
1) Make sure your openoffice is closed.
2) Launch Firefox and select File -> Open File.
Select the .xpi file [probably under "downloads" in home folder] and press the "Open" button. Firefox will then install the extension.
3) you'll need to re-launch Firefox.
4) In Firefox, go to Tools→Add-ons→Extensions.
5) Click the “Preferences” button next to “Zotero OpenOffice Integration”,
6) in the new window click on "Detect OpenOffice.org Paths"
7) Then click on “Reinstall OpenOffice Components”
re-open openoffice and you should see the zotero toolbar icons.
These steps worked for me--I hope they work for you!
