split screen

I am new to zotero. On the first day it was split screen. Now if I hit the zotero button it automatically goes full screen and kicks me out of the page that I was on. How do I make it go back to split screen?

    Click the button on the right side of the Zotero toolbar to turn off full-screen mode or (if it's not in full-screen mode) drag the pane down.
