Citing Names in Alphabetical order

When Zotero captures names it shows like this
Dog G. Barkie
Cat M. Wiskers
Cow B. Grass
Ann F. Tube

Now when i export citation (Harvard style)

i get Dog, G.B., Cat, M.W, Cow, B.M., Tube, F.A.

I think it should start with Ann or i am missing something?

Also i get citation like this: with full names...
Meglio, Olimpia, and Annette Risberg. “Mergers and acquisitions--Time for a methodological rejuvenation of the field?.” Scandinavian Journal of Management 26.1 (2010): 87-95.

My version is 2.0.9
  • that all seems like it works as intended. Why would a citation sort after a first name? Specifically Harvard 1 doesn't actually sort in text citations at all - it just leaves them in the order you cite them.

Bibliography - that's also Harvard? That would be odd, Harvard uses initials.
I guess overall I'm not quite clear what the problem is, what you expect as output etc.
Remember that "Harvard" is just a generic label for author-date styles - so you might just not have the exact style you want.
  • Thank you for the quick response.
I would be glad if you recommend a citation that is suitable for social sciences and writes names in alphabetical order.
  • American Political Science Association or American Psychological Association
both sort by last name, though -
i.e. Barkie, Grass, Dog, Whiskers - sorting by first name doesn't exist & seems really odd to me.
