Pages that firefox recognises but Chrome connector/zotero SA don't
Hi all,
I wasn't sure if you'd prefer this discussion in the SA category, or with translators etc. My intention was to capture here specific sites or pages that work fine with firefox, but that don't work in zotero SA + a connector.
In my instance, for example zotero 2.1b5 in ff 3.6.13 see this paper OK:
http://www.springerlink.com/content/v152219602748796/
but zotero SA + chromium 11.0.656.0 doesn't recognise this page (no icon). Both are running on ubuntu 10.10. I also checked with Chrome 9.0.597.83 beta and that doesn't work either.
I also tried to grab the details of this paper via another link that usually works:
http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1998EM%26P...80..369K
this also works fine in ff, but not in chromium/chrome.
Cheers, Mark

But actually in neither of these cases can either firefox or chrome successfully create a new entry, even when the icon shows up, so perhaps I should find better examples...
The Springer article is using the DOI fallback -- but the data for the DOI is incomplete, and the translator refuses to save records missing a title. Springer should be notified-- it's their problem.
