Cannot add Citations - Report #73478325

When I try to use any of the Zotero functions in MSWord (12.2.8), I get the following error message: "Firefox could not load the component required to communicate with your word processor. Please ensure that the appropriate Firefox extension is installed and try again."

I have since gone through the trouble shooting process on the Zotero website 4 times, including deleting and reinstalling the PythonExt (2.6.2), and restarting Firefox (3.6.13), but I keep getting the same error message. I've tried restarting MSWord as well, to no effect.

so you have checked your Java?
And this is on which OS?

I'm not too savvy with under the hood issues.
- How do I "check Java" and what am I checking for?
- I'm using OSX 10.6.6

ignore that it says for Open Office. If Java doesn't work, on Mac that's usually a problem related to the Firefox Java plugin.

Java isn't necessary for the Word for Mac plug-in, but your error report suggests that the Word for Mac plug-in isn't actually installed in Firefox. Install it from here (step 2) and try again.

Ok. Roughly when will that be? If not within the next 90 minutes, when I have to go, will I need to log back in?
