Upgrade StorageCRM capabilities
Sadly enough I am not a developper, but if I were I might like to create a feature within Zotera that tracked contacts in the same way many CRM tools do. Academics and researchers who are attending conferences, conducting interviews, making cold calls, and managing serendipitous meetings of people, need to have a way to sort people in the same way that they do their literature with cross-references possible, dates of meetings, and perhaps some form of link or compatibility to a mail client like Eudora and Outlook and Novell. This needs to be more than simply managing business cards.
Yesterday for instance, I attended a conference and met people whose presentation material I may want to quote, but who also made statements that I'd like to "file" and associate with other documents and literature as well. I would also like to be able to send a mail or call that person easily. This sort of feature will also coincide nicely with the future objectives of Zotero to build collaborative communities.
Consider some CRM type devices, if you haven't already!
