Windows x64 version of the standalone application

Hello, I am really excited to see the development of Zotero in a standalone format. Is any consideration being given to the 64bit platform? Thank you and great work to the zotero development team.

You can theoretically build Zotero Standalone for x64 if you compile XULRunner for x64 and then use your XULRunner build to build Zotero Standalone (which you'd probably need to do from Cygwin, since the build script is written in bash).

We don't have plans to release an official 64-bit build of Zotero Standalone for Windows until Mozilla provides an official 64-bit build of XULRunner for Windows.
  • Simon, thank you for the response. I didn't really mean to inquire whether there will be a 64bit version of the Standalone app but rather if it can run on a 64 bit platform - specifically, Windows x64. I am currently running Windows 7 x64 and when running the executable, I get the Standalone window but it is completely empty except for the File/Edit toolbar (both of which seem to work). I have zotero 2.1b4 installed for firefox though I don't think that matters since I am not even trying to share the db, but simply running the Standalone.
