Ability to Store Clipboard Images
I think, being able to store clipboard images into a Zotero database would be a signficant step toward being able to use Zotero as a research journaling/notebook tool as well as a citation database tool. My immediate need for example is to document the steps and results obtained while working with a data analysis software program. I often want to take a snapshot of the current window, store it, and add notes to it. A crude approach I have considered is to paste stuff into the equivalent of Powerpoint ... or some similar such application. I also realize that commerical packages (Notebook from Circus Ponies for example) exist to manage what I want to do. Being free and cross-platform, as well as already being well designed for capture and management of research citations, Zotero offers a huge motivation for trying to make my plan work within its framework.
As a test, I copied an image of a window to the clipboard (using Alt-PrintScreen on WinVista). I then tried to paste this image into the notes field of a Standalone Note and somehow to create an image clip from the clipboard. I could not do any of this.
In any event, this is a GREAT APPLICATION!!! Thanks for the work done to put it together and to make it available.

csergentI agree 100%. I can not use this software without being able to paste images into notes.

ajlyonThis software can't create image files from the clipboard. If you create an image file somewhere, add it as an attachment to the item, and drag it into the note, it will show up in the note and sync correctly. But you need to start with a real image file. Most screen capture utilities can do this for you.
