there is advanced search function in zetoro, but every time you do a advanced search you need to enter it. Adding some hot key in the search area can be helpful, just as in firefox upper http address bar, you put 'gs carbon', it is understands that you want to search 'carbon' in google scholar. Then, in zotero search area, if you put 'title carbon', is knows that you want to search titles containing 'carbon' in it, if you put 'author Smith', you want to search entries with authors including 'Smith'. This can be helpful when you have many entries in the library, and a simple search in the search area will give you quite a number of results. and you will futher spend time to check the one you really need. With these hot keys, you don't bother to enter 'advanced search' function while at the same time can get fairly targeted items.
