Trouble in using standalone version on win7

hello, i am trying the standalone version on windows7
however, 1)the zotero.exe file does not contain an icon and 2) when i run this file, only one bald window shows up and nothing more i can do except closing it.
So are there any problems in the downloaded file and my operation? I wonder how i can use the standalone version with my existing zotero database.

    For a start, delete the zotero_win32.zip you downloaded, clear your browser cache, and retry downloading and installing again.

    it's the same. what's the process of installing? isn't it just unzipping?

    no"quick start" or "quick wizard" button
    i don't know why

    Have you check the download file? is it complete compiled?
    The non-icon feature makes me suspect about the completeness of the win32 version

    For what it's worth, the Linux build doesn't seem to have an icon either, though complaints about icon pixelation lead me to believe that the Mac version has an icon.

    yes, the icon is fine.
    I run it under vista sp2 and it seem fine.
    What's wrong with the windows7? anybody try it on windows 7?
