Google scholar .enw issue

I've just upgraded to 2.1b4 and am now having a problem importing from google scholar. When I click on "import into endnote," Mozilla asks if I want to save the .enw file or open it with a program, rather than simply importing the reference into zotero. Similar behavior is reported in older threads, like this one, but I thought perhaps this is a new issue deserving a new thread?

Thanks
  • does the regular translator for google scholar still work?

Sorry, can you explain a bit? I'm not sure what the regular translator is.

I generally just use "Import to endnote" on an entry in Google scholar.

I imagine the regular translator would mean the folder icon up in the address bar? If I click on that it does seem to work -- a small rectangular box appears over Zotero, and a Zotero popup asks me which of the entries I'd like to enter in my catalog.
  • The best approach is usually to use the address bar. Zotero can also intercept and import certain formats when you download them, but then it often does better using the site translators, accessed through the address bar.
  • and yes, by "the regular translator" I did mean exactly what you did.
