Stored pdfs filling up my file storage??? Help please!

I've been using Zotero for a while and really like it. I seem to understand how it all works, and haven't had any problems until now. Please could someone help me out on this one?

I often save files (PDFs) and attach them to my zotero entries using zotfile, which has been working fantastically. However, I've just tried to add a PDF thesis to an item and I've been told I've reached my file storage limit (I'm now at 95.6MB out of a max 96MB).

I'm not really bothered about keeping my PDFs on the zotero servers, as I back up my zotero data folder (where I believe the PDFs are?) onto an external hard drive, so have no need for online storage. All I need online is the bibliographic data which I've got for each of my items in my library.

Is there a way that I can disassociate my PDFs in my zotero from the zotero online file backup thing? Or shall i just ignore the 'limit reached' warnings and continue to back-up myself? Will further bibliographic entries not be saved online if I'm reaching my file storage limit?

Many thanks to anyone who can iron out these wrinkles in my understanding. REALLY appreciate it!

Merry Christmas!
