Upgrade StorageZotero on Mac10.5.8 with MS Word:X

I tried installing the Zotero 2.0, but I am not getting the integration. I read through the documentation and it says that Zotero 2.0 and the MacWord Pluging 3.0b7 supports Word 2004 and 2008/2011. In comparison, the documentation for Zotero 1.0 says it supports WordX. Does this mean that 2.0/3.0b7 does not support WordX/OfficeX?
At first I thought I needed to use the AppleScript interface, because I do not see a Zotero toolbar in the MS Word menu. But when I looked, there was no Zotero script in the Word folder under the AppleScript (Open Script Folder -> Open User Script Folder -> Scripts -> Applications -> Word). I tried asking the Firefox browser to reinstall MacWord Integration 3.0b7, and I got two messages. First one says that it requires a Word version 2004 or later, and asks me to upgrade MS Word. When I clicked ok, it then prompts me to say that installing was successful.
So, anyone got an idea on what's going on?

dstillmanThat is correct. Word X came out nine years ago. (That Zotero 1.0 worked with it was a fluke—it was never meant to be supported.)
