Error report cannot be submitted

Hello,

When I try to send an error report, I get a message saying "Please wait while the report is submitted" but then nothing happens (I don't get any failure notification nor any report ID after several minutes). All I can do is to cancel.

I am using Zotero 2.1b2 in Firefox 4.0b7 on Windows XP.

Is this a bug, or is there a workaround?

  • What's the problem you're facing? An error report is only useful with a bug report.

    And restart Firefox completely before reproducing the problem (whatever it is) and resending the error report, or there might be too much data to submit.
  • I have several problems to report, in relation to translators and user interface. But as the link you mentioned says, I should provide a report ID when posting a bug report. There are indeed relevant information in the error log, at least for the translator issues. But the problem here is that I cannot get a report ID since the report submission never terminates.
  • Looks like error reporting was broken in 2.1b2. Fixed now on the trunk.

    You can copy lines from the error report into your forum posts, and we'll excerpt the relevant lines.
