Someone Else's Collection Appearing in My Library?

There's a collection at the top-level of my library that I'm almost completely certain is not mine. (My username is gtross.) The collection is called "Food Policy". Before I delete it, I'm hoping to discover if anyone else has had this problem, and if this means that my collections might be appearing in other people's libraries.

  • Have you used your library from a shared computer?
  • Well, I'm pretty sure 'no', but that's a good question. Could I have at some point, some place, logged into my account from a public terminal, and then forgot to delete my library from that machine?

If I can't track that machine down (and I'm certain I can't), then am I just stuck having my library exposed to other people's additions and (gasp!) subtractions?
  • Change your zotero.org password.
  • Also, I don't see that collection in your account on the server. Did you delete it?
  • Just note that logging into the Zotero.org website is not enough to trigger an additional machine syncing-- you'd have to enter your credentials into the Zotero preferences on a public computer to run into such an issue.
  • Yes, I did end up deleting it. . .
  • Thank you everyone for all this useful information! I changed my password, so hopefully everything will work itself out.
