Loosing comments and highights in my zotero documents & sites

Hi there,

for some reason, when I'm working with a doc/website that I have saved in zotero and using zotero tools o highlight it os make notes, when I switch to another file or move to a link from that page, I loose all that work. How can I avoid this?

I've used zotero in the past as well and it didn't loose my notetaking then, is this a glitch with the most recent version? Is there some other step I'm missing?

    I have tried Zotero on Windows and OS X. Right now, the most recent version, 2.0.9, does not give me note-taking abilities on OS X 10.5. I can click to get a window that should allow note-taking, but it does not have any text controls.

    However, in Windows, Zotero allows two kinds of note-taking - I can type notes into the right-hand column, or I can click and get a separate window with a text control that allows note-taking.
