Not Pulling in DOI #s for APA Citation Style
When importing new citations into Zotero, the program is not pulling in the DOI number for journal articles. As such, my biblios are not being correctly formatted. In addition, when I enter an "Accessed" Date into the info section, that is also not being pulled into my biblios. Is there anything that can be done with either of these issues to ensure that I will get correct APA formatting? Thanks

Thanks. I am pulling in citations from EBSCO databases affiliated with my university's library. With regard to the access date, you are correct (old habits are hard to break), but now when the article does not have a DOI, one is required to include the URL of the journal. Is there any way to get zotero to include this?
Thanks again for all of the insights.
But EBSCO should really add the DOI automatically, maybe Avram can have a look.
It is possible that EBSCO isn't being consistent about including the DOI in its RIS output-- it is possible to do some extra processing to get it from the page if it is displayed onscreen.
The following is what popped up when "exporting to generic citation..." was selected for an article that has a DOI that was not captured by Zotero:

AB- Given the increased awareness of the need for counselors to be social change agents to best meet the needs of the clients they serve, the counseling profession has adopted competencies and standards to guide advocacy efforts. Supervision offers a forum for facilitating the development of these necessary skills for effective advocacy. This article presents a three-tier model to assist supervisors in preparing future counselor advocates. Framed within a social constructivist epistemology, the model facilitates the examination of social justice issues relative to client advocacy and professional advocacy in relation to self-awareness, client services, and community collaboration.
