Easily creating a parent item for a dragged in PDF

Is there an easier way to create a parent item for a dragged in PDF. Right now I create a new item, and then drag the dragged in PDF into it. I thought somewhere I saw a right-click option to create a parent item. Thank you.

    RIght-click and retrieve metadata. Unfortunately you still have to create a parent item manually if Zotero doesn't find matching data.

    making that easier (i.e. in the case "retrieve" doesn't work) is planned, though.
