Full author names?

Hi all,

I'd like to have a citation style that give the full names of all the authors, something like

Firstname1 Lastname1 and Firstname2 Lastname2, “Article Title,” Journal Title, vol. 1, no. 12, pp. 1000, 2004.

rather than

F. Lastname1 and F. Lastname2, “Article Title,” Journal Title, vol. 1, no. 12, pp. 1000, 2004.

I did not find any citation style that work this way. Also, I checked the CSL syntax, it seems the best we can get is F. Lastname, rather than spell out the full firstname, although the full fistname is available in the "author" field.

Is there any method for this? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
  • The default is to render the full name of creators, so CSL more or less like the following should produce the effect you're after:
    <names variable="author">
    <name and="text"/>
    </names>
  • You have to remove the "initialize-with" attribute (along with its value) from the "name" element.
  • Rintze's suggestion might be the easiest and works! thantks a lot
