journals.cambridge.org attaches HTML not PDF

The translator for journals.cambridge.org erroneously attaches a HTML page, not the PDF file. I guess the journals.cambridge.org site tries to load the PDF in a separate page, but if that separate page is fetchable for Zotero the PDF should be too.
  • it's been doing that for a long time. The problem is the odd, embedded pdf structure - I'm not actually sure if it's fetchable for Zotero - if you take a snapshot of the page containing the pdf the pdf isn't included, for example. Also, as opposed to Sage, there is no option to display the pdf in a full window. Maybe the experts have an idea.

What I'm puzzled by is that I thought Zotero was supposed to check if a pdf is actually a pdf before attaching it?
  • Please go to http://github.com/ajlyon/translators/raw/master/Cambridge Journals Online.js and save the file to the translators directory of your Zotero data directory (http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data).

It should start saving PDFs (and working on search results and tables of contents) again. If this works for you, please post here so that I can submit this change to be pushed to all users.
  • posting here to mark as unread again, have to check this out tomorrow.
  • Yeah, it works! Thank you very much.
