Aladin Discovery (beta)

Aladin, the database used by the DC consortium universities, has developed a new interface called Aladin Discovery that is now in beta. However, even though it is beta, Gallaudet's library web page makes it easier to get into this than the older Aladin (which I like better actually). Problem is there is no way to import from Aladin Discovery and that's frustrating some students.
  • Please provide a sample URL so we can look into this.
  • Here is the URL:

    http://discovery.wrlc.org/?skin=ga
(ga is for Gallaudet, you can type in GW for George Washington U, au for American Univ., etc)
Then just search for a book. You will see that no Zotero icon appears in the URL pane.
  • For these and other AquaBrowser catalogs (i.e., Harvard's HOLLIS), you can click on the "Export to .ris" or "Export to Endnote" links in item records in the meantime. You will have to check the box to have Zotero handle RIS/Refer files in the Zotero preferences.

It should be possible to make a translator for WRLC and similar catalogs rather easily -- I'll look into it.
