deleted item, how to recover it?

Hi. I accidentally deleted an article (pdf + bib info) from its folder. Now it sits in the Trash bin. All my efforts to just drag it to any folder have failed. What is the proper way to recover the file?. By the way I haven't sync in a long time, so that is not an option. Thanks you.

Try selecting the item in the middle pane, then click "Restore to Library" in the right hand pane.
