I have found quite a few postings indicating that OpenID is not functioning with zotero.org but no authoritative response from those running the web site.

Using Firefox 3.6 and verisignlabs.com openID zotero simply indicates that the credentials offered are bad. Could someone confirm whether this is a website issue, whether it is because some openID providers are not supported or that this is a browser issue.

    Its a problem with the library we're using not supporting openID 2.0 final (2.0 draft 11 is supported).
    Theres an existing ticket for the library
    http://framework.zend.com/issues/browse/ZF-6905
    that had some amount of movement recently.
    Hopefully it will get a fix upstream and resolve itself, otherwise we could switch to a different library but I'm not sure when that would happen.
