SpringerLink, saves the book instead of the article

Context:
On this page http://www.springerlink.com/content/a0u2108876r51143/ springer link references an article, "The Hypervolume Indicator Revisited: On the Design of Pareto-compliant Indicators Via Weighted Integration", from Eckart Zitzler, Dimo Brockhoff and Lothar Thiele that has appeared in a book, "Evolutionary Multi-Criterion Optimization".

Result:
A book icon appears on the firefox address bar and says "(DOI)" on hovering. When clicking the book is saved as a new reference, not the article. No ReportID is created.

Expected:
The user expects to get a reference to the article, from this page, as it references a specific article in that book. Asking springer link to export the reference indeed produces a reference to the article, not to the book.

Comments:
I guess that's because a specific translater would be needed instead of the DOI one...

The SpringerLink translator has been broken for a while, as a search shows:

The CrossRef translator needs to be modified as well, though. There is information about the book chapter returned, but it is not in the same format as other book chapters returned by CrossRef (book_type = "other" instead of "edited_book", but there are other differences too):

Then maybe the SpringerLink translator should be added to the list of issues here: http://www.zotero.org/support/known_translator_issues ? And a link to the known translator issues page should be added from the start page (http://www.zotero.org/support/) and from the throubleshooting page (http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues) because there does not seem to be a clear way to reach that page. Or is it because that page is not maintained any more?

It's updated occasionally, but it is by no means comprehensive. And there's a link to it from the translator error popup. I've added a link from the translator troubleshooting page.

We ran into another book of type "other" some time ago, maybe a month. At the time, I resisted adding a condition for it to the CrossRef translator since I wasn't sure of the format that CrossRef uses for such items. Now that we have two instances of it, we can probably work out the details. If CrossRef were kind enough to use an accepted standard or at least document their own format...

I'll look into this, but not right now.

At least they released their schema, which had not been the case when they first started providing data:
