n.d. showing up even though the source has the "accessed" date

Hello! Could someone help me out - i'm using the Chicago style of citation in my thesis work, and the department requires the "accessed on" date to be indicated for the online sources. But even if in the source information the date is indicated, i get the "n.d." in each footnote.
I'm using Zotero 2.0 on PC with MS Word, did anyone have the same problem and can suggest me a solution to it?

Thank you very much!
Ksenia
  • access-date isn't equal to issued-date. Currently Zotero uses n.d. when there is no "date" - even if there is an access date. While that may be debatable I believe that's correct - a web source can be undatable.
The immediate solution is to put a date into the "date" field in Zotero instead of just the accessed field
  • Thank you! just tried that and it works, though the words "accessed on" are not displayed, if inputted in Date field..

Is there any style which would take up this info from the Accessed field?
  • correct Chicago style uses both dates for websited - you should fill both fields.

I think there are a couple of styles that substitute the accessed date for the issued date, yes, but I can't remember which ones, sorry - maybe someone here has a good idea for a search-string? (that wouldn't apply to you - some of us have all the styles on our harddisk and can search them more easily).
  • i'll check back in case you do find the correct style ,)
    thank you for help!

    cheers
