Zotero Maps Plugin with Debian Iceweasel 3.0.6

What would it take to make the Zotero Maps Plugin compatible with Debian Iceweasel 3.0.6? I haven't been able to find any information about this yet...

    It should work, as far as I know. Does Iceweasel usually have special compatibility issues?

    Hello! I also thought that there was no difference between Firefox and Iceweasel besides the name. Does it possibly have to do with the version of iceweasel that I have installed? I am able to install Zotero Maps 1.0.7 from:

    http://zotero.entropyfree.com/

    However, I am only able to maps entries that have a "Place" field, such as book or map entries. I am not able to install Zotero Maps 1.0.9 from:

    http://www.zotero.org/support/plugins/

    It seems like this newer version has some interesting features. Any suggestions?

    Is there a way to make it work for Debian users?
