Can't fill in the Title field when adding a Book Section manually

Hello,

I just added a book section manually, but cannot fill in the Title field (the one just under "Item Type"). The rest of the fields work OK.

    Disable your other Firefox extensions and any non-default theme/Persona you're using.

    That was actually just a troubleshooting step. You can re-enable one by one to see what the problem was, disable again to verify, and then report it here for the benefit of others.

    I just disabled the "Forest Fog" Persona I was using and then I was able to fill in the "Title" field. Does this mean that certain features of Zotero are incompatible with certain Firefox Personas? Do you recommend not using Personas with Zotero?

    my understanding is that Persona's are pretty easy to write and so often relatively inexperienced programmers put them out and don't necessarily comply with standards. Many personas and themes do work with Zotero, but it is also quite common that a persona/theme will conflict with Zotero (so yes to your first question). If you take that as a recommendation to not use personas with Zotero depends on how attached you are to the former and how willing to test if a specific one works with Zotero.

    @adamsmith Which personas work? I've never used personas, but held a course today where three of (6 of) my participants did. Although they all used different Personas, fields were rendered pretty much unaccessible for all of them.

    I don't know - I remember seeing this work, but I don't use personas either, so I don't know which ones or how they were called.

    This is what I'd call a bug. I just tried the 9 most popular Personas:

    All of them rendered empty fields almost unaccessible:

    See the blue line to the right of "Tittel" in the right hand pane, that's the amount of space you have to click on, on a mouse over to activate the field.

    Notice that the link leads to a Windows XP 3.6.16 version of Firefox, but all of my other course participants experienced the same thing when using Personas. And I've experienced the same with Firefox 3.6.16 on Ubuntu. In addition to the 9 most popular, I also tried about 6 new additions:

    and they all behaved the same.

    I tried making a screenshot on Ubuntu, but the screenshot action activated the full field in Zotero, making it useless.

    I still stand by my comments in http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/10745/ -- incompatibility with _all_ personas is something that needs to be fixed, either within Zotero or within Firefox.

    Can anyone comment on whether other add-ons are similarly broken by Personas?
