Won't sync - will I lose data?

For some reason I get an 'Empty response from server' error when zotero tries to sync with the zotero server. (ID 378149641). WIll this mean I lose any data entered between the last sync and when I shut Firefox (and therefore zotero) down? I have to shut down my laptop.
