Siris catalog can't save to Zotero 2.0.6

I'm able to successfully save to Zotero individual records from catalogs outside our firewall, but am unable to do so from our Sirsi catalog that lives behind our corporate firewall. I get a simple "Could not Save - check known translator issues" error.

The known translator issues are not applicable. The culprit is unlikely to be Firefox plugins given that it works perfectly well on other library catalogs without altering my list of plugins.

So I'm falling back on the idea that it's probably proxy-related. Is there anyway to tell Zotero not to use a proxy for a list of hosts within our corporate firewall? I've seen discussions of this in the forums but no definite answers...

Thanks for your help

  • It could be specific to your SIRSI installation -- the translator attempts to flexible and work with all configurations of SIRSI, but some catalogs require that we add some more logic to the translator to account for their idiosyncratic page structures and whatnot.

If there's a public URL that you can give me, I'll look into whether it works from outside your network. Otherwise, you may need to have an in-house tech person look into modifying the SIRSI translator that ships with Zotero -- you can find it in the translators directory of your Zotero data directory.
