Lost Zotero icon after upgrading
1. It doesn't appear under Tools > Add-ons > extensions, though Zotero WinWord Integration does. The only other extension I use is Java Console.
2. I am running Windows 7 and the latest version of Firefox. I was prompted to install a Zotero update this morning, which is when the icon, and evidently the extension, disappeared. I have shut Firefox down and re-started it at least twice, and the machine shut down once.
3. All looks well in my online account. However, I want to be sure how to re-install on this machine without losing data. And I'd like to know why this happened, if possible.
Thanks,
Elisabeth

I have no idea what happened - if Zotero really isn't listed under the extensions (double check!), you should indeed re-install.
To be safe, it'd probably a good idea to locate your Zotero data folder (which is almost certainly still there) and making a back-up copy

That said, just re-installing Zotero should bring back your full library, too. The above is just an additional safety measure.
I have never seen something like this and it seems highly unlikely that Zotero would just uninstall - the most likely scenario is that either you're overlooking Zotero in your extensions or you inadvertently did something to make it uninstall.
But of course I can't tell for sure and unfortunately errors that aren't replicable are also not explicable.
