Neumann Sirsi

When I click on the book icon for a book in our Sirsi iBlink opac (http://www.francis.neumann.edu). I get a "Could not save item" error. It tells me to contact the translation author. Maybe this is like the problem with Rutgers' Sirsi opac but when a friend at another institution tried using our catalog it worked fine. Saved all the item info and all.

Same FF, same Zotero, both on windose XP w/ SP2.
  • I believe we are currently having a problem with our translator (the little bit of code that grabs citation information automatically from a website) for Sirsi-powered OPACs. It is a little odd that your friend was able to get the citation; we'll continue to look at it.
  • I use the Riverside County Library System catalog powered by SIRSI and the book icon does not appear. www.rivlib.com
  • Hi
I'm having a problem with bringing my EndNote stuff into Zotero. It's a pretty beat up old laptop, I'll grant. I keep getting the message 'No translator could be found for the given file'. I'm sure its a problem with my EndNote program. Any suggestions how to get the appropriate translator - find it an make it work? Tnx.
  • Hi,
Are you exporting from EndNote in RefMan (RIS) format? There are some instructions here: http://www.zotero.org/blog/making-the-switch-to-zotero/

If that doesn't fix things, it might be better to start a new thread in the "Import / Export" sub-forum here: http://forums.zotero.org/4/
  • Thanks Sybille. I'll have a go at that.
