Well you can "export item as ..." to get the selected items in various structured forms (RDF, BibTex etc.). You need to check the box "Include Notes".
I suspect, however, you're looking for something more human-readable - try "generate report from selected item(s) ...". This creates a HTML file that you can save and view in a browser or manipulate as you prefer.
