Auto-margin or auto-line-height
Say you capture a web page, and are happily highlighting it. However, you can't add the inline notes without the little bubble covering up some text, and you can't expand them without the note itself covering up even more text.
It would be really cool if Zotero had a button you could click such that the local copy of that resource, from then on, acquired a (say) 150 pixel left margin. That way, you could put your notes there and, assuming you resized the little windows, they wouldn't cover anything up even in expanded form.
Another option would be to increase the line-height, so annotations could go in between the lines.
