Automatic syncing suspended

Report ID 130535923

A red circle with a white explanation mark inside has appeared next to the green syncing arrow in my zotero screen. When I point to it a message box comes up saying 'Conflicts have suspended automatic syncing. Click the sync icon to resolve them.'

When I click the sync icon, a window appears with Local page, Remote page and Merged page. The merged page shows some changes I made to the entry after I'd initially made it so that is the version of the entry I want to keep.

However, I can't see a way to tell zotero which one I want and when I close that window, the whole circle starts again.

Everything seems OK apart from that, except that hovering the mouse over the sync icon shows a message telling me the last sync was 4 days ago - presumably because this conflict keeps stopping it.

I tried to delete the entries from my library, but now the screen says the local entry is deleted, but still shows a remote entry and a merged entry that are slightly different, and the sync process still stops in mid-stream.

I've also closed zotero and Firefox and then re-started them and that doesn't help either.

What can I do?
  • You need to click on the record that you want to keep, then click next in the bottom right corner of the window. If you have a small screen, you may have to resize things to see the "Next" button.

I have got the same problem and hovering the mouse over the sync icon, it shows me a message telling me the last sync was 28 days ago. I don't understand the solution you gave to Jane R. Moreover i don't know if i have to do the same or not..

I have created some files with references in my office but they don't appear at home since i can't make a syncronization.

i tried too to close and restart zotero and firefox but the problem is still the same.

Could you help me please telling me what can i do...
