Backup + Firefox crash
I have a Mac and for some reason for 2 days I am unable to open Firefox, Safari works fine. I would like to try uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling, but I don't want to lose the newest version of my Zotero database. Is it possible to locate the necessary files from my Firefox profile, when I am unable to open Firefox itself? If so, how? Cheers! p.s. any hints on the Firefox front that don't involve un/reinstalling would be much appreciated :)

dstillmanedited August 11, 2010But it's pretty unlikely that the Firefox application files themselves (i.e., /Applications/Firefox.app) are broken unless you have a corrupted disk or something, so you might want to try starting in safe mode (for which you can find instructions on the Mozilla site) or creating a new Firefox profile. If the latter works, you can always copy over your Zotero (and other old Firefox) data.
