Store my library on a classified network

I am a brand new Zotero user. I would like to use Zotero on a classified network that has no unclassified Internet access, and be able to share the library with other local classified network users. Is this possible, even stripped down, without the full Zotero library facilities available through your cloud storage solution?

Separately in the Firefox Support Forum, I have requested assistance on installing Firefox and the Zotero plugins without access to the unclassified Internet.
  • Yes, this should be possible. It will require that you learn how to install the Zotero server software, which has been released and is in the Zotero source repository (https://www.zotero.org/trac/browser/dataserver). As far as I know, no one has yet implemented an independent installation of it, but it should be possible.

If you run into any issues as you explore this avenue (and you should explore this avenue only if you are fairly comfortable with server administration and PHP programming), then feel free to discuss them and the general experience of getting things going on the Zotero developers' list, zotero-dev (http://groups.google.com/group/zotero-dev).
