Creating a library item from a local PDF
Hi everyone,
I'm still learning my way around Zotero, and I think some of the operations I do most often can be done much faster.
For example, if I have the PDF of an article on my hard-drive, what is the fastest way of creating a library item based on it, i.e. an item that has the PDF as an attachment, and that takes all of its metadata (author, title, etc) from the PDF file itself?
I only know how to do this manually, i.e. I go to New Item|Journal Article, and fill in all the fields, then drag&drop the PDF next to the created item. I'm sure this can be done much easier though, as I describe above. Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance!

If Zotero cannot tell what the article is, finding the article in an online database that is supported by Zotero may still be faster than creating a new item manually.
