  • That error isn't in your error report. Try generating a new error report immediately after triggering the issue.
  • OK, just tried again, it failed gain.
I clicked on Reports Errors and this is the number I got 1625570040.
  • Did you edit any of your citations with the editor and paste something in? That's the only way I can imagine this happening. Obviously, it's a bug that shouldn't be happening at all (and won't happen with Zotero 2.1 because we've already changed the way it's done), but you might want to try deleting the edited citation(s) and seeing if your document works again.
  • Yes, I did some editing in the citation, using the Zotero command: Edit citation.

thanks for the answer. when is the Zotero 2.1 out?

now I need to find out which ones of the 200 footnotes are the culprits.
  • "edit citation" is no problem.
"show editor" - and then manual editing - causes citations to break.
  • You can also try the MacWord Integration 3.0 Branch XPI, which will replace the problematic character in the problematic citation with a question mark and thus make your document work again.
